DWI story. Voice For The Angels. Hit by a drunk driver.

I have been blessed to recently reconnect with a very special friend named Anthony Trujillo. He has an incredible story to share. We did a live internet radio broadcast interview with him 2 1/2 years ago. I don't know anyone who has endured more physical pain and suffering than this man. Several years ago he was the victim of a drunk driver going the wrong way who hit him in a head on collision. He had two broken femurs, broken ribs, it is truly amazing that he survived. His testimony of how his faith helped him endure tremendous suffering should be heard. Share it with your friends and pass it on. I am providing links to this amazing interview done on behalf of All of the Answers Radio and a Youtube of the accident scene, it truly change your perspective. He is now almost fully recovered, is a motivational speaker, and a speaker of victim impact panels. It would be difficult for most of us to go through half of what he endured, yet through faith he prevailed by working hard to keep a positive attitude and refusing to remain a victim. if you know someone who could benefit from hearing this story please help by passing it on to others. You can help by going to the links and sharing the embeddable players found on these two links.

Many Thanks,
Phillip Guerra

Part one of Zeitgeist the movie asserts that Jesus Christ is just one of numerous solar messiahs who all share similar characteristics such as born on December 25, to a virgin, had 12 disciples, was crucified, buried and resurrected. A study of primary source documents easily proves otherwise which is the purpose of this presentation by Douglas Hamp from Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa. Leave comments at his blog:

James Regan, Author of the book:
"My words are Spirit and Life"
Mr. Regan is currently a Medical Laboratory Technologist. Formerly a Medical Corpsman and Medical Technician in the United States Navy
This book lays out on the table key components of the evolution vs. creationism argument for the reader to see in a reasonable and enjoyable way. This book explores the aspect of coupling the art forms found in nature along with the science which then opens up a whole new way of looking at things.
Here are some of the great topics discussed:
1. Life did not necessarily start in the sea but rather was "deposited" into the sea.
2. DNA does not intend to leave things up to chance.
3. Green plants and Red blood are interconnected.
4. Chemical reactions prefer the number 8.
5. What clues about our origins are embedded within the artistic patterns of nature.
6. Seven lines of proof showing that plants were fully developed and here before any animals had come along.
7. What does camouflage reveal about our history?

Oh the glory, of His presence
By Author James Regan

There is a Christian song that starts off, just like that. Yet, are these just empty words that make us feel good? Do they only provide a nice decorative touch on the altar’s banners? Or is there something to the glory of His presence? And what constitutes His Glory? Can we tangibly perceive His presence? Is He a God that indeed loves us, but only from afar? The, so called; long distance relationship. From what I am aware of, it takes quite a bit for a long distance relationship to last, and many will trade what they have for a relationship that is more proximal or tangible. Is God really so far away living in the heavens beyond the universal heavens where all the galaxies, stars, and nebulas reside?
The first reference I would turn to, even if I did not believe in God, would be the bible as the bible contains written clues, information, and instructions, that point me to the potential truths that I could perceive and experience myself or be a witness of. What do I mean by that? Well, we can take a short look at the difference spoken about when we look at the subject of one being diligent or of one being lazy. In proverbs 10:4 it says:
“He becometh poor that worketh with a slack hand, but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.”
Even if we only take a glance at real life we can see that this statement is true. Those that are diligent in life will clearly outdistance those that are satisfied with mediocrity, as they lounge with their snacks in front of the tube that touts, of heroes, distant lands, and adventure. There is also a declaration here, that it seems to be ok with God that one obtain riches in this life. It is the LOVE of money that is the real root of all evil. One obtaining riches or having riches in itself is not evil. There are many people who are rich that use their money for good things.
So now, if we apply this principle to the glory of God, and His Presence, we would find out the following information, and then we could see if there are examples of this in life that are being demonstrated. For instance we know by the bible that God the Father sits on his throne in heaven. We know that God the Son sits at the right hand of the father. Yet when we speak of God the Holy Spirit we are told in the word that He is our helper that is with us and even in us. ( John 14:16-17) Even though All three persons of God are One, the person of the trinity that we are in direct contact with is the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is compared to the wind in (John 3:8). We can not see the wind in itself but we can feel the wind, and we can see what the wind does, as it stirs things up on the earth.
The Holy Spirit was there in the beginning hovering over the earth which was like an untouched canvas before the artist hands. The Holy Spirit is also said to have been hovering over, rather, overshawdowing Mary, as He performed the will of God by placing God’s Son into her womb. This was a tremendous manifestation of God’s Glory as Mary was a virgin. Her own engaged (betrothed) husband Joseph to be had decided to divorce her quietly so he could avoid the public embarrassment of the apparent disgraceful action that Mary had seemed to have committed (Matthew 1:18-23).
You will see as you read those verses in Matthew that it was not just a great manifested miracle of God, done through the Holy Spirit, but it was also foretold in the book of Isaiah the prophet 700 years prior to this actually happening. (Isaiah 7:14). It was the Holy Spirit who moved upon Isaiah to cause Him to write a prophetic saying that declared that one day in the future, from Isaiah’s perspective, there would come a miracle child born in a virgin whose name would be “Immanuel” or God with us. Yes, that’s right, God with us.
That means as you see the holidays of Thanksgiving and Christmas approaching you can appreciate that God’s full intent is that He be with us. That means that some how we are to be able to tangibly percieve His power which reflects that He (God) is present. He does this in many ways. He does it through; arranging circumstances, by causing certain people to come into our lives at a particular time, or by setting up little events or coincidences about us that really causes us to think.
For instance one particular time I was having a real hard time emotionally in my soul and I considered giving up and not following Jesus anymore. I remember passing through a big department store and hearing the piped-in music and the song that was playing. The words of the songs seemed to speak to me. As I heard the song say, ‘You’ll never get to heaven if you break my heart...”. Even though it seemed a mere coincidence, it really struck me! Was God was trying to communicate with me? Through it, it seemed as though He was pleading with me, "don’t go...". So was it just a coincidence, or a Divine Incidence?
One time I had prayed to God to let me win a contest at Magic 105 which was a free trip to Washington D.C. to participate in earth day. I was on the phone and it was ringing and the announcer Sony Melendrez got back on the air and he was counting 101, 102, 103, 104, and 105. When he got to 105, my phone clicked and there I was on the air and I won the contest. Off we went on an expensive weekend while I was still trying to figure out how I had gotten the through the phone lines at the right time to be the 105th caller. Was it coincidence or divine incidence?
Funny, one of the things I was supposed to do was observe the event and call in to “play the role of a radio reporter”. This event happened probably at least 8 years ago. Yet what am I doing now. Am I not in the act of reporting now? Just a coincidence or divine incidence? My God is a very efficient God. He can use one event in preparation to set up another. This efficiency is easily displayed in the wonderful biochemistry patterns scattered throughout the human body (Romans 1.20).
Finally, in the New Testament, the apostle Paul stated, that he did not come sharing the gospel in eloquent words, but thorough a demonstration of His power (1 Corinthinans 2:4-5). If you go to dictionary.com and look up the word demonstrate, you will see that the words To demonstrate means to prove, manifest, show, exhibit or display. That means you may see it, hear it, feel it, taste it or even smell it. God did miracles by the hand of Paul and the apostles so people could see it.
God still works through people today, but only through those Christians who are willing to believe it, that God works the same as He did, Yesterday, Today, and forever. A pastor or even just a believer would have to believe that the Holy Spirit still manifest Himself and God’s glory in the same way that He did when Jesus walked the earth and as the apostles did. This means that the Holy Spirit can and does operate through a believer in the area of miracles and healing through prayer. The essential ingredient to this mix is faith. One must believe that it is possible to happen, and with God all things are possible. All things.
Most Pastors have faith, and some have great faith, and it is demonstrated in their preaching of God’s word. But some Pastors and believers have faith in the area of healing and miracles. God chooses to work through belief and so if a Pastor or a believer has faith in this area, manifestations and displays of God’s power will occur in plain sight. It is not magic, it is not a trick, it is simply, God displaying His glory and power through a believer.
There are many Pastors that operate in this gift and you can go their website to see visual examples of God displaying his power. Pastors such as Oral Roberts, Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, and Jessie Duplantis, are just a few names among many, that God is presently operating through in this way in these last days before his return. I have seen countless examples of healing including my own, myself. This week in San Antonio, there is a special treat of Benny Hinn coming to the ATT center. November 9, and 10th.
If you can make it I urge you to come and enjoy seeing these things live. You can sense God’s presence and you can see God manifesting His glory with your own eyes. If not, find a time when you can make it and see these things for yourself. The proof is in the pudding. The first time I saw a person operating in this gift on T.V., I laughed in unbelief thinking that people were falling over like it was some kind of game or deception. But when you experience yourself God’s power, and feel your own body going out from under you, you will think again, and begin to mean it when you sing:
Oh the glory of your presence, we your temple, give you reverence.
So arise, to your rest, and be blessed by our praise, as we glory
in your embrace, as your presence, now fills this place.

Iraq: US Elections - What now?

Post U.S. Elections - Special Report & Commentary: The war in Iraq, what happens now?
What happens if we fail in Iraq? It has been 3 1/2 years since the fateful day when President George W. Bush announced the start of the Iraq war. Winning the war and taking over Baghdad was the easy part, holding onto it and keeping the country stable was another matter. While there remained some factions to be weeded out, little did we know that we would be facing a relentless barrage of murderous attacks that employed terrorist tactics. The worst part is not immediately realizing that the adversaries we faced were not really the remnants of the Iraqi regime, but foreign terrorist that came pouring in to undermine our efforts.
It is not that we underestimated our enemy, but that we failed to notice the non-stop flow of weapons and terrorist insurgents crossing the border from Syria and Iran. Had we been able to truly secure the Iraq borders and stop this inflow, we might have had better results. Thus said, securing a border can also be a daunting task. Among those who crossed over included the leftovers from Al Qaeda who organized and conspired to incite a civil war between the known conflicts of Sunnis and Kurds. Now, in addition to the vicious attacks, there is also atrocities and infighting between ethnic groups that seems to be escalating into a civil war. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunni )
What does all of this mean? Was this our U.S. President’s tragic flaw and faulty vision? What if Al Gore had been sitting in the White House and received the same intelligence about 'Weapons of Mass Destruction'? What do we supposed he would have done? Would he have taken the same action? While many contend that the world would be better off had there not been a second Iraq war, there are those who believe that war with Muslim extremists in any one of the Arab countries was inevitable. People of faith from all walks of life everywhere believe that unrest in the middle east signals that we are now in the end times. "And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe." John 14:29. Matthew 24:4-8 (NIV) “4Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. 5For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ, and will deceive many. 6You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8All these are the beginning of birth pains. Are we heading towards a global crisis where the middle east is just destined to explode?
Iran was cited by President Bush as part of the “Axis of Evil” post 9-11, not because they burned U.S flags and openly chanted “death to America” for decades, but for their continuing efforts to fund fledgling terrorist organizations and regimes sponsoring groups like Hezbollah & Hamas. It is no secret that they, along with other Arab countries are induced into a culture of hatred towards America and Israel from the time they are born until they reach adulthood. How can a civilized world overcome radical militants that are literally hell-bent on destroying the stability of the world? It is a known fact that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has openly vowed to “wipe Israel” off the map. His plans: nuclear proliferation. He along with other rogue states are seen as contributing to the disestabilization of the middle east. His goal consists of creating a global chaos that would then usher in the Islamic Messiah. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hezbollah )

There is a big difference with what we believe we are doing in Iraq vs. what our enemies think we are doing there. “THE followers of Moqtada al-Sadr believe that the US invaded Iraq to prevent the return to Earth of their sect’s messiah-like figure, the Mahdi, or 12th imam” as reported by "The Times" website from the United Kingdom. We fight for stability, and they strive for chaos. In times like these we can only watch and pray and be wary in well doing.(http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,7374-2385384,00.html )

Many extend their hatred to the United States for being allied with the Nation of Israel. Although many erroneously believe that Israel stole the land from Palestinians, the history of this region would disprove that.(http://www.sunyaprajna.com/Worldview/Israel.html )

Increasingly the world persecution of Christianity is at an all time high. Matthew 24:9-13 - 9Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.” In a world where Islamic Extremist don’t mind killing innocents, their demonic indoctrination makes this verse very plausible.

The situation in Iraq is very delicate and requires careful considerations and that our leaders not act too hastily. There are two mentalities: One supports total withdrawal stating that it would deescalate hostilities and the other view is that it will represent a victory for insurgents and embolden our enemies to attack us in the future. Though it is hard to predict what the outcome will be in each scenario, we live in the fact that these are perilous times. We as a people should be recognize that. The whole future of the civilized world hangs by a thread. Will our leaders make the right decisions? While many believe the withdrawal option is plausible, some believe that option would be catastrophic. The scenario in which this would represent a victory for and embolden our enemies is very possible and here is a compelling reason that we should stay in Iraq: No matter what the reason is for going in, we better make sure that we understand our exit strategy and the consequences for leaving. If our country's objectives are not met, there is a growing consensus that our withdrawal would lead to a bloody civil war that would devestate the region. The effects would then spread around creating a vacuum of power that terrorist militants would eagerly exploit.

As Christians we should be mindful to pray for the will of God and the our purpose in the region. We should never underestimate the hour in which we live and need to also be prepared. Are the end times here? Could be. We live in a time where biblical prophecies are emerging. (NIV Matthew 24:34 I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.) There does appear to be signs that our time is short!
We should all be reminded : “No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come. It's like a man going away: He leaves his house and puts his servants in charge, each with his assigned task, and tells the one at the door to keep watch. Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back--whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn. If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping. What I say to you, I say to everyone: 'Watch!' (Mark 13:32-37)
